As a photographer, there are moments that remind you why you fell in love with your craft in the first place. Mariah and Dylan’s engagement session in the enchanting city of Portland, Maine was one of those moments for me. It was a session that rekindled my creative soul and left me eagerly anticipating their upcoming wedding day.

I find that I am the most creative when I get to photograph at locations I’ve never been to before. When you shoot at the same locations over and over again, it can become very predictable very quickly, and it’s very easy to fall into a routine. So when Mariah suggested we go to the city hall building in Portland… you best bet I was super excited!

But what truly made this session unforgettable was Mariah and Dylan themselves. They are, without a doubt, the absolute sweetest couple. Their love radiated in every smile, every glance, and every touch. They brought an energy and connection that made my job as a photographer feel effortless. I kept telling them over and over that they need to quit their day jobs and become professional models because COME ON LOOK AT THEM!!!

What also impressed me was their willingness to go the extra mile to make this engagement session truly memorable. They dressed to the nines, exuding elegance and style, setting the bar high for all future sessions. Their outfits perfectly complemented the picturesque surroundings, and it’s safe to say that their session will serve as the best example for years to come.

Mariah and Dylan’s adventurous spirit and genuine love for each other made every shot a work of art. (Hence the super long post and I’m not even sorry)

My excitement for their upcoming wedding day is through the roof! I am already counting down the days until I get to capture their love story once again.
