You know those sessions where everything just clicks? That was Kimberly and Mark’s engagement shoot at Seabrook Beach. These two were absolute rockstars—fun, outgoing, totally down for anything, and honestly, it felt like I’d known them forever.
This was my very first engagement session of the season, and let me tell you—it was the perfect way to kick things off. I had a little “off-season rust” to shake off, but Kim and Mark made it so easy. They were playful, sweet, and just the right amount of silly, which is basically photographer gold. Plus, they were totally game for all the prompts, poses, and even a little light chasing (because hello, golden hour at the beach is non-negotiable).
We almost rescheduled this session due to what was supposed to be a gloomy, overcast day. Kim and I had been going back and forth all week trying to decide what to do. But then? Plot twist! The forecast did a full 180, and we ended up with the most gorgeous evening—sunny skies, no wind, and that warm glowy light that photographers dream about.
Mother Nature, you really came through.
And because this was my first session back, I decided to test out something new: the drone! Kim and Mark were my official drone guinea pigs, and we got some seriously epic views of the beach. Spoiler alert: you’re going to want one of those prints on your wall.
Oh—and let’s not forget the shell. Yes, I found the perfect shell to hold Kim’s ring for detail shots. I mean, it’s giving Pinterest-board energy, and I’m still kind of proud of myself for spotting it like a treasure-hunting pro.
All in all, this session was pure magic. From the sunshine and shell-finding to the laughter and love between these two, it was everything I could’ve hoped for to kick off a new season of engagement sessions. Kim and Mark—thank you for being the best kind of humans and for making this day so much fun.
Now the countdown to your wedding day officially begins, and I can already tell it’s going to be amazing.
