I had the absolute best time photographing Danielle and Brian’s engagement session in Boston. From the moment we started shooting, it was clear: these two just fit. They flowed together so naturally, moved through poses effortlessly, and had the kind of connection that made it so easy to capture them in their element—laughing, holding hands, exchanging glances that said a thousand things without a word.
Honestly, they made my job too easy. Danielle and Brian were so relaxed and so much fun to be around, it felt more like hanging out with friends than work. Even though this session marked the beginning of a brutal heat wave (we’re talking sticky, summer-in-the-city levels of hot), you’d never know it. They were total troopers—never once complained, and you could just see how happy they were to be in the moment, together.
And the cherry on top? At the end of the session, Brian looked at me and said, “I actually really enjoyed taking pictures—it was so easy. I feel like I’ve known you forever.” That right there is exactly what I strive for. Your engagement session shouldn’t feel like a stiff, awkward hour of posing—it should feel like an experience. One that’s joyful and laid-back and makes you forget the camera is even there.
Danielle and Brian were the kind of couple that make this job feel less like work and more like a privilege. The way they connected, laughed, and leaned into every moment together made this session one I won’t soon forget. And if this is just a glimpse of their love during the engagement season, I know their wedding day is going to be nothing short of incredible.
