If you’re dreaming of a wedding day overflowing with color, energy, and emotion, Sydney and Nick’s fall wedding at Owl’s Nest Resort is going to be your new obsession. Their entire day was the definition of effortless—chill, joyful, and absolutely stunning from start to finish. Even though the air was crisp (okay… cold), the fall colors were putting on the BEST show and truly made every moment pop.
This wedding was extra special for me because Sydney is cousins with one of my past brides, Christina—so I got to see the whole fam again! Nothing makes my photographer heart happier than reconnecting with familiar faces and getting to document another huge milestone for the same family.
Sydney and Nick chose the perfect time to tie the knot at Owl’s Nest. Everywhere you looked, their décor complemented the scenery with bright bursts of red, orange, and gold leaves. Even with the cooler temperatures, these two were all smiles. The wind had that autumn feel, the mountains were glowing, and the energy was high all day. All their photos look like a fall postcard.
They also had a big bridal party—and let me tell you, this crew came READY. They brought the hype, the laughter, and the kind of support every couple dreams of. From helping Sydney and Nick stay warm to cheering them on during portraits, they kept things lively and fun in the best way. It’s always such a gift when your people show up for you, and this group absolutely delivered. Their energy gave the whole day this contagious, upbeat vibe that made every moment that much more special.
One of my favorite parts of their reception? The parent dances. Sydney and Nick shared the sweetest, most heartfelt dances with their moms and dads—those kinds of moments where you can literally feel the love in the room. Guests were emotional, I was emotional… it was beautiful to witness how deeply connected they are to their families.
What I loved most about their wedding day, though, was how easy it all felt. There was no rushing, no stress—just two people soaking in every single second together, surrounded by the people who love them most. Their connection is effortless, warm, playful, and genuine, and it shines through in every photo.
And despite the cold? They embraced it fully. I’m so glad they did, because those glowing fall colors against the cool mountain air gave us some of the prettiest portraits ever.
Congratulations you two! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness, laughter, and warm cozy nights together!
