I am beyond excited to share this blog post celebrating Abigail and Andrew! Even though the day was very wet and rainy, I seriously couldn’t have asked for a better couple to celebrate with!

From the charmingly mismatched bridesmaids’ dresses, to the radiant smiles on the couple’s faces…every moment was a reminder of the power of love and the beauty found in embracing life’s unpredictable moments. 

When I say this day was rainy, I mean it was very VERY rainy. To the point where when I was driving to Maine, I almost had to pull over because visibility was so low. I know this is the last thing anyone wants on a wedding day, but I kid you not… instead of dampening spirits, the rain seemed to heighten the sense of anticipation and excitement in the air. Abby and Andrew both totally embraced the day and weather with open hearts, and were determined to have the time of their lives.

While Abby was getting ready, I was chatting with her about the weather and she said, “It is what it is. I can’t change it.” 

Let me tell you… this is the attitude I absolutely love! 

Especially on your wedding day, I’ve come to realize this past season that you can plan and plan and plan…. And then plan some more. But something is still bound to go askew. Whether it be something big like getting a stain on your dress, to something smaller like breaking a nail…There are certain things you just can’t control about your day. 

And you know what?

It all works out. Every. Single. Time!

Abby and Andrew’s main focus was the fact that they were able to finally call each other husband and wife, and there was nothing that could take that away from them. Despite the little challenges posed by the weather, they remained unshakably focused on the true purpose of the day: the celebration of their commitment to one another. Their genuine excitement to embark on this new chapter of their lives was contagious, enveloping everyone in a bubble of happiness.

This is one of the many reasons I look up to these two! 

This couple is a true testament to the power of love and resilience. Their wedding day was a reminder that love triumphs over any storm, whether it be rain falling from the sky or unexpected hurdles that life may throw their way. Their unwavering dedication to one another and their ability to embrace the day’s imperfections with grace and joy is a beautiful example for us all.

I’m so happy for these two and I am HONORED I got to be the one to capture this monumental occasion I their life.
